Japan, an east-Asian island country, are known for their traditional arts, high-tech infrastructure and architecture, and exotic heritage. It can be difficult to visit the whole country at once. You may not be able to visit all the good spots. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists the best cities in Japan to visit.

On number 1, we have Tokyo, a word that instantly pops into our mind when we hear the word Japan. This is the capital city of Japan and is famous for its amazing skyscrapers. The city has a number of museums that will take you on a tour of the heritage of Japan. Some of the best places to visit are Tokyo Bay, Harajuku, Ginza, Odaiba, and the Tokyo Tower.

On number 2 we have Kyoto. This is also called the most beautiful city in Japan. It is famous for its amazing gardens, spiritual temples, and traditional setup of the city. Some of the tourist attractions are Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-Ji, Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and the Kyoto National Museum and Municipal Museum of Art.

The next best city in Japan is Osaka. Osaka is famous for its rural charm and a great shopping center for electronics. This city was heavily bombed and has been recreated after that. Some of the tourist places to visit in the city are Osaka Castle, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, The Tempozan Ferris Wheel, and Harbor Village.

The city of Hiroshima is number 4 on the list of the best cities in Japan. Despite being destroyed by atomic bombs during World War II, it is famous for the sites that have been built at the place. Some of the places to see are Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Shrine Island, Hiroshima Castle, and Mitaki-Dera Temple.

On number 5 we have, Nara, the first capital city of Japan. This city was somehow saved from the destruction of WWII. The best places to visit are Nara Park, Kofokuji Temple, Manyo Botanical Garden, and Yakushiji Temple.
