Canada is known for its beauty, charm, and tourist-welcoming environment. It is one of the coldest countries one can live in. Along with the other multi-benefits, Canada is known for its amazing and attractive lakes. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists some beautiful lakes of Canada.
On number 1 we have, Lake Housie, located in the Banff National park of Alberta. Beautiful green water and eclectic mountains make up the perfect place for your leisure. On your visit to the Banff National Park, this is the main attraction. You can enjoy the views and do activities like hiking, ice climbing, mountain biking, and boating.
The next on the list is the Garibaldi Lake of British Columbia. Garibaldi Provincial Park holds this beautiful and amazing lake. Surrounded by ethereal mountains, the water reflects their image making it a serene and calm place. One thing you need to keep in mind is that the lake is only accessible when you go hiking on the trail located near the lake. Waterfalls and meadows are some other attractive elements of the place.
British Colombia holds another beautiful lake, the Emerald lake. It is located in the Yoho National Park. The park contains 61 other lakes, and Emerald lake is the largest of them. As the name suggests the color of the water is Emerald green. If you go from December to June, you will find the lake to be frozen. The snow melts in the rest of the months.
The next one is an artificial lake, Abraham lake of Alberta. This lake was built on the foot of the Rocky Mountains in 1972. You will see a beautiful blue color of the lake even though it is a small lake. If you visit the place in winter you will see that the bubbles are frozen under the icy floor.
How can you miss the world’s largest freshwater lake? Lake Superior of Ontario is also shared with the USA. There are many vails of hiking and grounds for camping. Canyons, waterfalls, and cliffs are the other attractions of the place. This lake is larger than many countries and is very popular.
Some other lakes are Great Slave Lake, Peyto Lake, Lake Memphremagoy, and Spotted Lake.
