We all are familiar with the situation when you plan everything and still miss out on a few details. There are times when we are leaving for a trip and we think we have kept all the important things but when we reach the place, we realize we have missed something. Well, this can happen a lot when you are into traveling and moving from place to place. Even if you think you have planned everything well, you will miss out on some things. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists some unexpected travel expenses that you may have to incur on your vacation or trip.

Starting with the first unexpected travel expense, when you change your currency in the country you visit, they charge you some fees when doing the exchange. You may not get the complete amount of exchange, the people who do this work, cut their fees from it as well. So, this is an important one that you should keep in mind.

You may be carrying your credit card or debit card to make all the payments on your trip as it is really efficient and safe to carry as compared to cash. One thing that you may have not thought of is that, when you make an international transaction, there is a certain amount of tax on such cards. Since you are thinking of doing all the payments by card, you have to keep in mind the international transaction tax as well.

This is quite a common one as most people do take care of this. Mobile expenses are yet another cost that you need to consider. When you are outside your hometown or your home territory, you have to incur the roaming charging. You have to pay them on calling and data usage as well.

Don’t forget about the transportation costs. You will be taking a cab or a bus to move between places so keep in mind the expenses as well.

In some countries, exit fees or a departure tax is levied on all the visitors. You need to check all such rules and laws of your travel destination before you go there.
