7 Wonders of the world by Rubina Ratnakar

We’ll start with the beautiful Taj Mahal of India. It is said to be a symbol of love. This was made by Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb contains a place for Shah Jahan as well. It has been marked a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and attractions around 10 million visitors every year.

The second is Christ the Redeemer, located in Brazil. This statue is located in the Tijuca Forest National Park of Rio de Janeiro. It took 9 years to complete this statue. The statue weighs around 635 tonnes.

The third wonder is the Great Wall of China. This wall was built for the protection of the Chinese states. The wall is about 21, 196 km long, as found in an archeological survey. The date of formation dates back to the 7th Century BC.

The next wonder of the world is Raqmu, Petra. This historical city is located in southern Jordan. This city is known as the rose city due to the rose carvings. The rock-cut architecture attracts a large number of people.

Colesseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is a wonder located in Rome, Italy. Some activities that can be done in the Colesseum are animal hunts, battle reenactments, and mythological dramas. This is a great symbol of Imperial Europe.

Machu Picchu is located in the Eastern Cordillera in Southern Peru. It is said to be an icon of the Inca Civilization. It was built with dry and polished stones. This structure is basically a citadel of the 15th century.

The next is the Chichen Itza located in Mexico. It was built by the Maya people in the Terminal Classical period. You will witness exotic styles of architecture at this place. The tourists can take a walk along with the place but cannot climb the place or go inside the chambers.
